ABOUT THE SHOW
For 18 seasons, Bur-Less-Q Nutcracker has been turning the traditional holiday classic on its head.
Equal parts theatrical comedy, dance, holiday parody and grown-up mischief, this irreverent Christmas production delivers familiar holiday spirit with a decidedly less traditional twist and is based on a concept by Jana Edele, and written by Mark-Brian Sonna. Choreography is by Jana Edele and Mark-Brian Sonna with costumes by Larry E. Groseclose.
Despite the name, Bur-Less-Q Nutcracker is not a traditional burlesque show — there is no stripping or nudity. Instead, expect colorful characters, playful humor, choreographed dance numbers, outrageous holiday moments and plenty of cheeky fun.
